  • Planning and creation of outreach tactics and materials for major grant award announcements, research publications, and health initiatives, including coordinating tactics with external organizations including the National Institutes of Health, George Washington University, and area hospitals.
  • Building dual marketing and public relations outreach plans for clinical, community, and research healthcare marketing priorities such as pediatric robotic surgery, targeted at multiple audiences.
  • Creating and maintaining key message frameworks for stakeholders.

Media Relations: Pitch Development, Targeting, and Outreach

  • Pitch development for healthcare and education topics, previous work includes: applications of three dimensional printers in pediatrics, pain management, state academic standards, and standardized testing.
  • Securing earned media placements in key target publications such as the Washington Post, New York Times, and Washington Business Journal, as well as local television and radio.

Content Development: Creation, Adaptation, Editing, and Proofreading

  • Developing audience specific original content across platforms, including:
    • Digital: Websites, email, blogs, social media

    • Print: Media releases, annual report features, fact sheets, biographies (samples provided upon request).

Events Management: Programming and Logistics

  • Planning press conferences, training sessions, and public events for announcements and key milestones (up to 75 attendees).
  • Program planning from agenda writing to speaker recruitment and coordination.
  • Content creation: Talking points, full scripts, and presentation building.
  • Logistics oversight from venue management to travel arrangements.
